Right, I'm off shopping tomorrow. Fingers crossed to pick up an S2 Sport Tourer with a nice shiny hard top. Thing is, its got the regular silver alloys, and I rather fancy getting them sprayed black to look a bit more gnarly.

Any reason for not getting them sprayed up? Cleaning, cracking, dulling finish etc... Or just plain crap. And how much do you reckon it would set me back?

cheers good people.

Hopefully come all your replies tomorrow I can post pics of my new 'ride'- as the kids say.

Specialist will charge from £25-60 per wheel plus the cost of putting your tyres back on.

get them powder coated instead. better lifetime, better quality not much dearer. also doesn't corrode the wheels as much as brake dust doesn't penetrate the powder

Cool.

Thanks for that advice - will make some enquiries when I get it serviced I think.

Bought the car Saturday and have to wait a week to get it -just after bank holiday as well (boo hoo). Ardent Red S2 (52) with factory fit hardtop and sports exhaust and extremely good nick. Pretty good deal as well.

Will have to get used to the brakes though. Driven cars with assistance and ABS for too long...

Can't wait!!!
