Seen a fair few posts about 6 years old about replacement batteries. Looking to replace mine with this

https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/varta/e44/

Just wondered if its the right one, the books with the car don't tell me the dimensions, just its an 096 type.

Anyone used one?

Just get the cheapest, all you pay for is the length of the warranty.

Thats a 60AH battery, thats less than the 72AH it came with out of the factory though, plus its an 027, won't it move about in the tray?

I bought the same Varta battery you posted in your OP for my mk5 golf GTI in Feb and it's fine, arrived very quickly, easy to fit. Go for it

Cheers, its currently got a Yuasa YBX3000, so I compared the measurements, the same, so I've pulled the trigger on it. It has more juice to offer than the Yuasa and the 5 year guarantee from Tayna is nice to have.

Yes, don't be fitting a puny 60AH to a car with electric steering.
