Got back to my car the other night and discovered that some little toe w**ags had smashed 2 of my windows. Also my strereo had been taken (I still have the front) and my service book, MOT etc. This mindless act has reallly p**sed me off. I have had to get a new MOT certificate. But now I have a car with 145000 miles on the clock and no service history. So this must effect the value of my car. Also it has cost €1500 to replace the windows.
Does anyone know if it is possible to retrieve my service history?
I would love to find these sh*ts and give them a good kicking.

Thanks Carzee. I thought about this. The problem is that I can only remeber the garage that serviced the car for the last 30000 miles. I will give Audi a call and see if they can trace the rest. Got to be worth a try.

Shouldn't kick a bloke when he's down but..

WTF did you leave the service history in the car, it's probably worth more than your wallet and wouldn't leave that lying around

With you with the good kicking though, you say they broke 2 windows. What's the fg point. At least they didn't slash your tyres or set fire to it "for a laugh" I guess

Commiserations. If only it were legal to leave your car wired up to 40,000 volts!

Joking aside, do you not have glass cover with your insurance, as e1500 is a bit of a bitter pill to swallow?

{Editied to add:} Oh, I guess car insurance might work a bit differently in Belgium...

Just had it serviced the day before. I know I should have taken it out. But I completely forgot. You never think some b***ard is going to take it.

I actually have English car insurance. Looked at the policy. No glass insurance. I think in future I am going to leave the doors unlocked.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could leave stuff lying around without some tr walking off with it

40,000 volts, spot on, with a flamethrower to back it up

Had a good look around afterwards. But there was no sign of any of my belongings. A woman actually saw the 2 people doing it. But she was too scared to confront them. Really can't blame her. She was nice enough to call the police and wait by my car. There are still some good people in the world

I won't even try and cheer you up by saying anything about these sort of crimes sprouting up in Brussels......
