Well whatever it is, it seems to be in a rubber bush and I can hear it ‘wobble’ while I’m driving and it’s bloody annoying.

Reckon it’s supposed to be able to wobble, or can I attach a bracket to stop it?
Thought about a metal bar running between the two green dots?

Don't know what it is but do you mean you can hear it 'squeak' when you're driving? If so try some WD40 on the bungs to see if that works.

Given the way the engine moves on its mounts when under load etc I think there needs to be some free-play/tolerance?

I would suggest using silicone spray rather than WD40. A bit kinder to rubber components I gather as no petroleum distillates. I am led to believe..........

It’s not so much a squeak as a dull thudding wobble (hard to describe) when the roads get a bit bumpy, which is most of the time...

Noises are deceptive & can travel, first thing I would do is use gaffer tape or leccy tape to restrain it , go for a drive & see if its stopped or the noise has changed , that will confirm it is indeed that . If other cars don't do it then something's not right. A chat to a good independent someone like Alfaworks will probably shed more than the fitters at your local dealer

Good idea re gaffer tape.

Don’t think the noise is anything serious as it doesn’t do it on some of the new smooth tarmac we’ve had laid recently.
Unfortunately there isn’t loads of it!

I'll take a look it on our cars tomorrow.

Shouldn't be noisy.

I have very acute hearing...
Can’t actually get the it to try and tape it up.
It may not even be that that’s making the noise.

It’s not a mechanical noise, almost like when you flick one of those springy door stops, but more muffled.

Might take it to an Indy for them to look at.
My local dealer is now an hour away since Variava stopped doing Alfa.

Anyone used this chap?
