2008 Volkswagen Passat B6 Parking Brake Fault

Around 6 months ago I purchased a 2008 Volkswagen Passat B6. Shortly after purchasing, I began receiving "Parking brake fault. See owners manual" when putting the car into park mode. I've been ignoring the problem with it only being occasional, until Friday when I parked up my Passat, the fault came up on the dashboard but this time with a flashing handbrake symbol on the dash. After trying to set off, I realised that my car was stuck in park.

I called the RAC who sent an engineer out to me around 90 minutes later. He wouldn't do anything with it, so had to wait around another hour for a tow truck to come and get my vehicle home. I've since had a mechanic round to get my calliper unstuck, as well as fitting a new EPB motor that I've purchased. Upon investigating, we can see that the old motor had a huge crack down it - but the new motor still isn't working. I've had the vehicle plugged into diagnostics and have two fault codes:

02433 - Supply Voltage for Right Parking Brake Motor (V283)
02442 - Function Lamp in Control Head

Does anybody know what is likely to be the issue? Tests on various components such as the parking brake switch itsellf seem okay, but it won't let us test the EPB control module. Is it likely to be a fault with the module that will need replacing?
