What is the best sounding back box for a porsche 997
Discussion
what is the best silencer for a porsche 997 3.8s. I have a full TOP GEAR exhaust system , race manifolds, back boxes and de cat pipes , but the sound is not as I expected. At full throttle there is a lovely tone other wise it sounds pretty airy and farty ( like a cherry bomb exhaust ) I’m debating to replace the silencers with the standard ones just to get the porsche grunt back, has anyone had the same experience?
Email Gert at Carnewal in Belgium - really good with exhaust tuning options and will be able to advise on a neutral basis. I’ve bought their PSE remote module which ensures the exhaust flaps stay open (or closed) regardless of revs for example, but they can also supply the right options for full system, back box, side muffler unpacking etc and get any 997 sounding great.

This, my previous 987 sounded amazing with a Carnewal exhaust. The drive to Belgium was fun too.http://www.carnewal.com/index.php
Carnewal exhaust on my old 987 Cayman S a few months before it (the car) died. See 10m40s
