Porsche Specialists HP11 Wycombe
Discussion
Does anyone know of any decent Porsche Specialists in the HP11 Wycombe area. I've had my 991.1S Cab now for many years it's always been serviced at OPC Reading to maintain the warranty. I decided not to renew the warranty as the renewal costs were silly plus they wanted to charge for the 111 point check even although they have serviced the thing for years.
It's not an everyday car but I need someone that I can rely on to look after it as I'll be keeping it.
Its flashed up asking for a mid term service at 39K miles, I suspect that its brake fluid and some filters.
Does anyone know of a good indie as it has a few other items that will need looking at such as Brakes and a squeaky steering wheel that is driving me nuts...

Sorry, I don't know of Indies in your area.
However regarding warranty. I am sue you are big enough and old enough to make your own mind up.
My Waaranty has paid dividends for me, particularly with an older car.
The 111 check is Free of charge at an OPC when carried out at the same time as a service. And if you are renewing a warranty , they are usually obliged to fix anything before offering the the renewal at the 111 check for the new warranty
Just a thought.
I hasten to add I am not working for Porsche GB my only comment is based on my own experience

Thanks everyone for you help. I'm putting together a little spreadsheet of all the Indies and I'll call them this week.
BTW I have also found the OPC warranty very good and Reading have some excellent staff and loaner cars there. I had some warranty work done over the years but I guess the cost of the 111 point check, plus the actual warranty then OPC servicing and silly OPC rules like on tyres, batteries, etc means that you are restricted and you would need to be very unlucky to make the numbers add up. I've never really worked it out but you'd probably need to make a claim for about £6-8K over two years but I supposed you have peace of mind which can be priceless. I may even go back to a warranty at some point or maybe try a sharkwerks exhaust who knows

JZM and RPM are both relatively close...I believe oth have the factory computer system (not cheap) which means they can run diagnostics etc on a car like a 991.1. RPM are more focused on the servicing/maintenance/upgrades of the two but JZM have a good reputation too.
Another +1 on JZM, based in Kings Langley..G
