Bike rack on Caterham?
Discussion
Yes, I know its a bit daft, but want to carry my mountain bike on the Caterham, if possible. Anyone done it with any success? I have a Superlight R so it has the rear roll bar and angled diagonal support, nothing more (and nothing at the front except the windscreen). Note that I don't have to have the roof on.....
Thoughts so far
(i) wheels off, bike in passenger seat. May be possible, but likely to be jabbing me in delicate parts, and/or sticking out the sides. Not ideal.
(ii) strapped sideways to the roll cage. Possible.
(iii) Strapped to the boot lip and up to the roll cage (as if it were riding over the car. May be feasible, with most weight on the roll cage, but not sure
(iv) using the spare wheel carrier fitted to to me touring Caterhams - seems like the best bet, either as is (bike on sideways) or with a bike carrier strapped to it somehow
(v) bike rack attached to windscreen (how?) and roll cage, bike held by down tube on that, facing forwards. Possible if fixings allow it.
Anyone done it and got suggestions, and better yet, photos?

B***** H*** that's remarkable. I usually Google first but really didn't think there'd be a solution out there!just goes to show there's nothing new.....
Full cage makes a very nice, and very solid substitute for a roofrack.. just clamp the carrier straight on!
Haven't done that since swapping out the cage, but my plan is to mount the thule carrier to the bar/bar support in the inline/slanted manner - I just need to make an adaptor of some kind so I can clamp the bottom end clear of the boot lip.
