The factory PPF has started lifting slightly on one edge of my bonnet.
Was going to leave it for the dealer to sort when they did the adjustment on my door (but that’s not going to happen now) but thought I’d employ the services of a local guy instead.

His quote, to remove and replace the bonnet PPF he’s quoted £1,032...
Includes the wings (which I don’t want or need) as it comes as a kit, and is the self healing stuff.

Needless to say, he’s not doing it....

Another chap also quoted - just the bonnet - £420.
Really didn’t expect it to be as expensive.

You get what you pay for and it's cheaper than paint. My comp red QF has PPF and it's saved me twice. Win win!

It may well be cheaper than paint, but over £1k?!

Even at £420, considering mine is only just lifting in one spot I may as well wait until the car has its service in September and see if the dealer can do it under warranty.

The PPF on my car was fitted by Stevie Wonders Italian cousin.. mine isn't lifting yet but every edge has been cut short and on a white car I now have black lines where dirt gets trapped on the edge of the film, considering I think Alfa Romeo charged £1200 when it was new, and my car has done 1400 miles I'm not happy with it..
I've been trying to get them to do something about it but you need to go via the AR dealer network, which as we all know is largely pants!
I've tried my local dealer who spent a month p-sing around with it but achieved nothing, I've now got the supplying dealer involved and kicked up a stink so we'll see what happens..

Most of mine, whilst not wrapped around the edges, is still pretty much invisible.
I suspect someone somewhere along the line has been a bit heavy handed with a jet wash, that’s why it’s lifted.

Might just try warming the offending bit with a hairdryer and try to flatten it down.

Over 1k for the bonnet and wings is a little lumpy but they are sods to do ,
If you can get to Portsmouth call Steve on. ‭07809 399880‬ . He did some on mine after I scraped a wing and bumper on the garage door pillar , excellent job and nicely priced

I've had a quote to remove/replace PPF on sills £400+VAT. Front bumper area £350+VAT. This is a top company that works on a myriad of supercars. They have the CAD so can cut it exact.

The latter I will pay myself, the sills will be a warranty issue for the dealer to sort. And in Alfa's accustomed customer service, the dealer got it underwritten by FCA asking me to source locally because they didn't have the facilities. I've now chased it up, the chap I dealt with has moved on and a month later I'm waiting for someone to get back to me to advise what to do rolleyes

Needless to say if it's not sorted soon the car will be dropped off for its annual service in autumn and I won't be collecting it until the job's done.

If you want the best job in the uk use these guys

http://cgperformance.co.uk/paint-protection-film/

They did my first 4c , after I hit a pheasant and needed the front realigned the Bodyshop didn’t believe it had ppf on it , it was that good , not cheap but attention to detail was incredible , they even used Matt film for the windscreen pillars to keep the car looking as designed , it’s still on their website.

My second 4c was done by a “top” company in London as part of the warranty fix to the Stevie wonder factory fit and it’s “ not good “ but I wasn’t paying so I’ve tolerated it .

Whoever you use try and see previous work , if it’s warranty repairs Alfa supply some of it pre cut and it’s to small leaving exposed edges but easy to apply I guess
