It's under warranty, I'd get your OPC to sort it.

Talking to my OPC, Cambridge is always such a pleasure and they’d advise over the phone or sort it at a mutually convenient drop in appointment.
Edited spelling.

Fair enough, but with wet carpet all clearly isn't fine and I'd use the warranty by booking it in and getting a courtesy car.

Just had a similar situation with my Macan. The OPC agreed that 2 large bags of silica gel shouldn’t be an optional extra to deal with the problem. Turned out to be a drain pipe from the sunroof was blocked/kinked.

Also had the same issue with my 997.1. On that occasssion it was the door drains that were blocked......

I had the same issue with my 991.1 Cab it was the rear drain plug that was blocked full of green gunk! In the end it was very easy to unblock and flush with clean water.

Cheers Richie

Be interested to hear what it is, as I’ve been suffering with this for a few months now.

It’s really sporadic though, doesn’t happen all the time, seems to only be a certain temperatures, between 5 and 10 degrees.

Haven’t taken to the opc as I too thought they’d have it for a few days and then say they didn’t experience it.

Mines a 991.2 GTS cab. Had it a year and only started happening around September as the weather got colder.

Annoys me that I have a 130k car and have to sit in the work car park for 5-10 mins waiting for the windscreen to clear as it’s soaking wet sometimes. Embarrassing.

No, but it didnt visually.

I actually thought it might be damp door cards.

Next time it happens I will check the mats.

I have checked the frunk to make sure that wasn’t damp, and made sure an air duct under the bonnet wasn’t blocked from memory.

I owned a 997 for 5 years and on a wet day the door cards would be saturated but not once did I experience any condensation in the car or on the windows.
