Hello guys,

My key will operate the central locking but the immobilizer will not recognise it as the correct key and will not start the car.

I have tried changing the battery in the key.

The car battery has been charged overnight.

I have removed the clocks and attempted to re-solder the connections as per this advice.

https://forums.seatcupra.net/index.php?threads/my-...

The key will still not work.

I only have one key as the other one escaped on the beach in Swansea so I cannot diagnose that!

Any tips on the next steps would be appreciated.

Just to close this out for anyone wondering,

this issue was quickly resolved by having an automotive locksmith re code the key.

if you are in South West Birmingham and have car key trouble, Fox Locks Auto specialists did an excellent job.
