Sorry man wasnt me. Mine's a 52 plate. If its a 53 plate its probably an Elise painted like a Type 25 because Lotus produced all the Type 25's in 2002.

hmmm, sure it was a 53 plate and I'm sure when I seen wendyg'd 25 in F1 Lotus the other week it was a 53 plate, anyway she will be along soon enough to tell me it wasn't her and that there is an imposter in the area!

Could've been a 'real' Type 25 that took a year to sell/register. Come on Wendy where are you?

Yup, must have been me, I was on my way to a book reading in Waterstones Tuesday night.

My car is one of the later 111S Type 25's, which weren't numbered but were otherwise the same cosmetically, and it IS on a 53 plate.

Was one of you in Washington a week last Friday about lunch time? I waved but with and armco between the two cars I could only see the top of the Elise as we passed - defintately had stripes though

Yeah the one in Washington was probably me. Didnt see anyone wave so wasnt ignoring you. Was probably on my way home for lunch in a world of my own. I'll keep an eye out for you in future.

Thought all the Type 25's were exactly the same spec Wendy? How you tell the difference?

I think the only way to tell if it's an original or a 111S is close up. The original one's had a limited edition number on a plate on the dash, the 111S doesn't.

Alternatively we could try a race to see which car has 120bhp and which has 160! (Actually, that might not be very revealing, due to a severe lack of natural driving ability on my part!)

A boy racer style drag race at Shafto's?! You're on! I'll prepare myself by watching Fast and the Furious a couple of times

Can I join in too?

Now look, we don't want any stupid "Enter the car park in my car and try to pull off a doughnut type thing" as someone tried last month, unsuccessfully I might add!
