Quote "It should be noted that the vehicle suffered flash flood damage to an approx. value of £7,000 (at Porsche parts and labour prices) during 2007. At this point in time, when the value of the car was about £12,000, it was classed as a Category C insurance loss."

Some odd figures quoted. No way did the 993 ever drop anywhere near £12,000.

They were close to £12k

I bought a 993 4S, Man, coupe from its 2nd owner, FSH, in need of TLC, but perfectly useable for sub £17k, in 2008.

Cat C doesn't scare me.

I've spoken to the vendor some months ago before i switched from a 993 search to 997 search. he is a very straight and very knowledgeable chap and based on that conversation alone, id have no hesitation in buying anything from him
