New Golf GTI question (dealer pricing)
Discussion
Ok, so my wife had me looking at a new Golf as our 2nd car. Turned up to see a particular car only to find it was sold.
Anyways, seems they have a March (!) promo on "Golf 2.0 TSI 245 GTI Performance" with a £5k deposit contribution on the limited stock they have left. Taking the car down to £26,610. Now, Golfs aren't particularly cheap to begin with and this deal (discount) caught my attention. I hadn't actually thought at all about a GTI.
I'm guessing this model is likely to be replaced in the coming weeks/months. Any idea what the main differences are between this model and the new incoming? And, more importantly, does this sound like a decent deal they are doing?
Thanks.

You haven't mentioned whether that price is for a 3dr, 5dr manual or dsg, and if it includes any options above standard,
but just for reference 3dr manuals start at approx 25.5k for a new order through drive the deal, so worth shopping round before you take the plunge.
the mk8 gti probably won't be released till 2020, but will no doubt be bigger, quicker and with improved technology, so for some worth the wait.
If your not too fussed and don't want to wait that long then now is probably as good a time as any to try and get a deal on the current model.
