Looking at a mark 2 TT S as a second car and I'm finding it hard to make sense of the prices which seem all over the place.

I'm looking only at manual coupes that DON'T have two tone interiors but there can easily be £2k difference between apparently similar cars which for a c. £10k car seems like a big spread.

What things might be affecting the price? There certainly don't seem to be a lot of significant options, except for the very rare Recaro seats. Clearly condition may be a factor which I can't really judge yet, only doing web looking right now, but they are of course all described as excellent.

Oh, and why are so many in Scotland!

And while I am asking any views on how they handle mileage? As there are a few high milers about.

Did just over 70k in mine and the engine never put a foot wrong in all that time. Not sure what you class as high mileage they seem pretty bombproof. Mine was a manual coupe too.

On your interior colour point. I loved my black/silver grey seats. Really lightened up the otherwise all black interior and were never a problem to keep clean. Mine was a daily driver and I probably wore jeans 99% of the time in it.

Fair point on the black/grey combo I should be open to that though the black/red is a step too far!

Re. Mileage I mean well over 100k. I acknowledge we are talking 10 year old cars and accordingly they seem to be mainly around 60-100k but am seeing a few in the 120K+
