Importing SatNav destinations into Golf
Discussion
I've just had a new company car delivered, a '66 plate Golf, and am trying to transfer the POI's that I had stored in my previous car (an Insignia). I guess the format of the file on the USB stick is different between Vauxhall and VW as the Golf isn't recognising that there are any files on the drive, but I can't find anything online that might allude to how to do it.
I've got 300-ish addresses on the USB that I will use at some point or other over the next year, so don't really want to have to type in each one - either as I need them or in advance. The Insignia just stored the destinations in it's POI 'bank' and I chose from the list based on whatever I'd named them.
Is this possible? If so, any advice on where I can find a resource that explains what format it needs to be in to make it work?

Not really - no.I've got 300-ish addresses on the USB that I will use at some point or other over the next year, so don't really want to have to type in each one - either as I need them or in advance. You could in theory go to a software engineer/developer who works with Sat-navs and understands the file structures between them.
But that's not really a practical solution.
Almost certainly doable, but would require time, effort and a lot of digging into the formats used and how to convert.

You can 100% definitely import POIs in the right format into the VW systems via USB or SD, the common addition is speed cameras.
