I haven’t noticed any ‘anti’ rhetoric towards either SUVs or EVs, in all honesty. There is some criticism of the current EV offerings as being overpriced and/or poorly built, but not without some justification.
I doubt there are many on here who wouldn’t have an EV if it was conpetitively priced, well built and had a suitable range.
I certainly would but they’re not here yet.

Go and wash your mouth out and have a long think of what you said.....The giant windscreen, and powered doors are two features on the X I love the most. It's amazing how lazy we are as human beings, having to manually open/close doors these days seem so tiresome.
Not sure I can ever buy another car without powered doors and an uninterrupted view of the world, it's like driving in a convertible but without having to worry about rain/wind/cold, look up and all you see is sky

Or Mercedes who still haven't delivered a single EQC yet, how long has the Model S been on sale for? Remind me please, I thought it was 2012, because according to lots of 'experts' on here building EVs is really easy is it not? Isn't 2012 like nearly a decade ago??

Maybe Toyota will get it right when they build their EV, afterall Audi and Merc arent really proper manufactures compared to Toyota. Let's see when their first EV is due......

k Toyota and their self charging bullsThe Model Y was the car they should have built and not the M3. The number of saloon cars that sell well compared to hatches speaks for itself. You’d have thought it would be just a reconfig of the rear of the M3 and run them both down the same production line like every other manufacturer does.
Theoretically most buyers should be in the saloons instead of the cuv/suv versions, a good chunk more efficient when you dont need the size etc.
But yeah I agree the Y should have been first. Hopefully wont take long to get it going considering the sharing with the 3, and the tricky bit (battert, tech, drivetrain) already done.

I really hope the Y isn't just another boring hatchback body, I get plenty of people want boring hatchbacks, but that's not what Tesla have built their brand image on. Leave the boring stuff to Hyundai/Kia/Nissan/VW. gangzoom said:
