EGR Valve issue on 2011 Golf TDI

Hi folks,

My Mrs 2011 Golf TDI seems to have developed an intermittent EGR Valve issue and then the light comes on the car looses power and goes into what seems like limp mode, the car is currently with VW waiting to get looked at. Is there a reasonable way to fix the issue as i don't really want to spend 700+ on a new EGR Valve, i.e can I just get them to clean it or something?

I would see if /www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/ do a EGR delete kit from your wife's VW.
