Golf bmn 170 nightmare

I have a golf bmn 170 it will only run with the crank sensor unplugged also it’s a brand new crank sensor I have checked the wiring to the ecu and that seems fine but noticed two thick brown wires at the ecu plug cut and have traced them back to near were the injector loom plugs in but can’t see the other ends off we’re they have been cut any help would be appreciated
