As per title really, 2002 hatch back 1.6, 120k miles. Back end shuffles around a bit especially over bumps, any common problems for these that fit the bill?

Thanks in advance smile

My Son has a 2011 Golf that broke a rear coil spring, I also had a 2004 Audi A3 (same/similar platform) that did the same so it's obviously not an uncommon fault and certainly worth checking.

120k miles check condition of suspension.

Could upgrade to GTI suspension or add an rear anti-roll bar or kit.

Back axle bushes are common to go on these.
a set of purp purps polybushes will be the best long term fix.
just as cheap as replacement bushes and easier to fit.
can be had at eurocarparts on trade for the cheapest option.
