Morning all,
I am on the verge of falling head over heals for a 340R. I am restocking the garage between Dec'02 and Mar'03 and really, really want one.
Having never driven/lived with a 340R, can anyone give any real reasons not to buy one? Also servicing, day to day checks and general maintainence advice/tips would be great.
I'm 6.3" (will I fit) and the 340R will spend quite a bit of time in Florida.
Cheers!

Ok standard 340r stuff - make sure you switch the lights off when you get out - to replace the battery you have to remove the entire clam /bodyshell
can cost around £1000 for a new battery !
look at www.jackals-forge.com (or similar) for an owners experience
What ever you do get a trickel charger as the battery goes flat after 14 days without use any way.
The charger just plugs in the dash and away you go.
I let mine run out and then jumped it and had to wait three weeks for the charger to top it up to normal levels......
Use the charger all the time and you will have no probs.
All the negative things I could possibly say are taken away with one word "florida" The prefect place for such a car !!!
Enjoy !!

Thanks again guys.
I have decided to base myself in Miami and frequent NYC rather than spend more time in NYC so the 340R is an absolute must. I'm in Miami right now (07:45
) and the weather really couldn't be better. 90-94 degrees and some seriously clear skies surely make for 340R heaven.
Can anyone suggest some servicing tips for the 340R in a foreign land? Ernest(PHer)has an Esprit here and I saw a black Esprit by South Beach last night so I am hoping there is a mechanic who knows what he is doing.
Cheers again.
