IT Support type jobs

Hey all,

Putting the feelers out now, as am considering moving on to a new job - the current one is starting to wear thin due to management restrictions.

Looking at 3rd line support - anyone know of anything in Bristol City Centre or thereabouts?

I have no idea what 3rd line support is, but I wish my boss would consider another employee!! I work for a small software company (6 of us!) in W-O-T. This means I don't get much time developing new products as I'm having to deal with supporting existing customers a lot of my day. Still, one can dream......

3rd line support is the guy who's spent many a year dealing with front line queries, and gets the more interesting jobs. Generally it's the guy whos got quite a bit of experience in Servers, Networks, general common sense, and how to blag a jolly.

The job I've got at the moment is far too much Systems Anaysing in ERP (if thats a word) and not enough system administration which is my skillset.

To rub me me up even more, I recently passed up a job with a very well know security advisor who is starting his own company up - I said I needed to see out this job for a while out of loyalty - but now I'm getting shafted every which way, and miss desperatly working in a team - as I am the only IT bod in the company - the poor sod who gets blamed for everything...

Guess you probably wouldn't fancy spending your day answering emails and phone calls from customer's whose system has "stopped working" then?

Unless you're going to pay good money, and ensure there is a good social life - anything is better that this place....

Well, our place is nothing like The Office, but it's not exactly a party either (although we do have a bottle of wine and a load of food in when it's someone's birthday )
