Any VW Up owners ?

Any VW Up GTi owners on here ?
I haven't see one on the road and after getting a PCP quote via Carwow I'm not surprised !
Over 3 years, 8000 miles with 1k deposit = £250 pm !!!
You can get a Fiesta St-1 for that much ?!?!?
Lease deals are no better - how can a car that costs 13.5k be so expensive ?

Not a car that strikes me as rare. Had one as a courtesy car a while ago - I don't mind small cars, but I thought it was horrible, especially how noisy it was. Last service got a 1 litre Polo and that was limo-like in comparison.
Up! was amazingly economical - showed 65MPG on the computer for my journey which included some stop/start and motorway.

I guess it's because the lease company reckon they'll lose a fair chunk of your 10k charges in depreciation on a 3 year old, 24k mile Up!?I haven't see one on the road and after getting a PCP quote via Carwow I'm not surprised !

You might find it cheaper to buy (new or lightly used) with a personal loan and then flog it in 3 years - or you might find the depreciation (75% over 3 years) is about right?
They're noisy, but not a terrible city car.
I guess you're talking about the GTI, because the regular Up is a hugely popular car.
I don't remember exactly how much the PCP was on mine (I paid it off when I took delivery of the car), but I think it was roughly £3k deposit, £500 deposit contribution, £165 a month over 48 months, 5000 miles per annum. Invoice price was something like £14600 (£16200 list).

sorry yes meant UP GTi !!
The finance on them at the moment is terrible. They launched with 4.8% APR and a £500 deposit contribution. It's now 6.8% with no contribution, and IMO they've pitched the GFV far too low, which doesn't help.In terms of numbers, How Many Left says there are 615 on the road, which is in line with how many VW said they'd bring to the UK in the first year. Since ordering mine last February I've seen just four.
Had mine since last March, 13k miles in ... and for the money i don’t think you can get a more fun new car.
As above, once VW realised how popular they would be they’ve gouged the finance on them - no manufacturer contribution, higher APR and lower GFV.
So i think i got a reasonable deal. £5k down £165 a month on 15k miles over 4 years. But that included 5 yr warranty and a few options.

One here. Can't comment too much on lease deals because I got mine HP with the original finance offer.Ordered in February and delivered in November.
I haven't seen another GTI on the road either.
CarWow enquiries started 0602, collected 0203. And £800 off too

I'm guessing some dealers are speculatively ordering popular specs. of which mine was one - Beats audio + cruise&park.
I saw another near Waitrose Cirencester - black 3dr on Thursday.
