B6 Avant Double Din Conversion - Save me...

So I've got the Double Din Centre trim, front to rear ash tray. I have the double din cage.

What I don't have and I plead to the learned PH folk, is the correct (double din) heater. Can anyone confirm the part number or furnish me with a link?

Am I right in thinking, I can then purchase a double din DAB & Apple Play unit from the likes of Kenwood / Pioneer?

I done something similar recently, I don't have a part number as I'm away with work at the minute but make sure it comes from a B6 or if it comes from a b7 you will need to install a relay for the rear demister . More info here :

It also seems they need to be coded but according to this you can just swap faceplates so possibly any one and swap fronts : https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/my-rns-e-ins...

Another issue is I believe the rear speakers are driven by an external amp a new stereo will cause the rear speakers to be v low.

To be honest it's a lot of faffing about no matter what you do .even the oem upgrades require new looms and have fm coverage issues.
I swapped over a grey to black console which also happened to be single to double and have reverted back to a tape aux adapter
