Needing Advice From Mountain Bike Enthusiasts

Hey everyone this has been asked before however would you use one of these to clean your bike after a ride?

Muc off and hose pipe for me.
I don’t really ever properly clean any off my bikes,as long as the drive train is clean and lubed it’ll do.

Yea muc-off, hose pipe with a hose lock trigger spray thing quickly after an evening ride.
Bike spray on forks/shock and drivetrain, and chain lube.
5 min job

Then wheels off clean with a brush when I’ve got time if it was proper muddy and really needs it.

Thought that was going to be a video of one of the battery pressure washers/12v ones which look like they would work well as a hose pipe if you wanted to clean off before loading a bike into a vehicle before leaving the trails not a spinning loo brush.

Looks like most of the mud would end up on me and waste loads of water in the process

Cheap pump pressure wash thing full of hot water and car shampoo to get rid of most of the dirt, get the hard bits off with a soft brush, easy.

For me, muc off, hose, quick going over with a brush and cloth, then quickly spin the chain through a chain cleaning device, dry and re-lube ready for next ride, 10 mins tops.

Cleaning a bike? Why bother? It's only going to get dirty again tomorrow anyway...

I have one of those, it's good for cleaning in amongst pivot arms and the like, but I can't say I use it very often.

I use a cheap portable washer to clean the bike off before it goes in the car, provided the mud doesn't dry it gets 99% of it off

You can also get portable ones that plug into 12v cigarette lighters and even ones that are fully portable with li-ion batteries though they generally cost around £100+

I have a portable battery powered pressure washer. Was skeptical until I got a shot of one after an enduro race. Bike was absolutely caked in mud but the mud came off no problem. I’d say it’s slightly higher pressure than your typical hose pipe with nozzle. Great for those non trail centre rides with no facilities.
