I’m gettin a Larini valved system, and the current owner has told me it is too loud for him, unbearably so.

I only do 10 to 15 miles a week in it so it’s not an issue for me.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the valves link straight to the existing set up? Maybe he his car had the “valves open” mod so it was always on full whack?

Mine has had this mod, so may need to reverse it if the system links to the factory set up.

Yes the system will take the two vacuum lines from factory setup. If you don't connect the lines the valves will be default open. The vacuum actuators connected mechanically to the the valve are spring loaded. Spring keeps them open and vacuum to close.

You also have the option of installing a valve controller, thus is usually installed on the bulk head behind the seats. That way you can control the vacuum manually usually with a remote. Some controllers interface with a smartphone where you can set rpm thresholds. I would install the exhaust first connect the lines and see how it goes first. You can always install the controller later with having to access the exhaust itself.

Picked it up today, can’t wait to get it fitted on Monday.

Been told they are incredibly loud. Good job the option to remotely control the valves is there!!

Can the remote set up be added without removing the rear end?

Im 98% certain you dont have to remove the rear end. You can access the vacuum lines and place the controller under the carpeted area behind the seats. Some fuses and the B&O amp is down there too.
