What's funnier is we were all sat round working when one guy found this site, e:mailed the dept and this other guy gets out an actual transmitter picture that he took when he visited his parents - talk about out of my depth

Its good to see the old Brookmans Park transmitter is still running. I went to school almost under the thing, its a pity they have cabinated the old water cooled valves though - a piece of art with power.

The best part used to be 'domestic science' lessons where the electric cookers picked up radio 2 when certain saucepans were placed on them !

Aaaah memories .....
