I’ve seen several cars from GCC countries in Dubai but none from Europe. Is it possible to drive a European registered car in the uae?

best bet is to speak to the automobile touring club of the uae. lots of expat staffers who can give you a straight answer.

First one is Dubai, second one Abu Dhabi (admittedly Yas but it was out on the streets as well).

The P1 was for the Chris Harris shoot non?

I think if you keep it here longer than 6mths then you have to formally import it, with accompanying duties. Also insuring an import involves jumping through a few hoops [easier with a classic].

amongst other things, yes. I managed to get a couple of passenger laps with Chris Goodwin driving, made the 12C I had at the time seem somewhat slow!

(And agreed that it’s probably not the best example of a car here on EU plates. Have seen a few of the overland expedition type vehicles passing though on German plates).

Saw the yellow McLaren parked at Mall in RAK about 4 years ago after a Barracuda's run.
