I thought my spark plug socket was small enough to fit inside the holes but it has got stuck in one of the journals - good and tight.

I can’t believe I am the first person to do this and I am desperately hoping there is a way of getting out.

Does anyone know how I can retrieve it?

Phew.......penetrating oil and a large easy out to the rescue (for the record first successful use of those mis-named tools)

How about taking the rocker cover off and warming it up before trying to extract the socket?
