exciting topic but..

wheres the best place to get carpets? its for a house in northampton that i'm doing up to sell so it just needs to look good rather than being hardwareing etc. is oatmeal house doctor style the best colour to go for ( white walls etc ) or should i go for a darker colour so its more durable if someone's buying to let?

As you're selling, just make sure it looks good (neutral) and costs next to nothing. A BTL purchaser ought to be budgeting for replacing the carpets every few years anyway, so don't try to 2nd guess what they'd want.

I agree. Something fairly neutral. CarpetRight are pretty reasonable - There's definitely a branch in Kettering - not sure about Northampton though.
