No way - next week - nice how did you swing that? We have two on order from Germany, and they're still saying end of July for the first one.
I've settled on Interlagos blue (the other one's Saphire black like yours, but I think I'm going to give that one away to be the company car, and keep the blue one) with black perforated leather and basically full spec. I had to order it in German, which I don't speak, so just ticked all the boxes
Those seats are awesome, I got the guy at the Geneva car show to let me get in and play around with their M5 and those side bolsters are awesome. I've experienced them in action on a merc e55 but the e60 m5 ones seem a whole load better!
Have you seen the function in the ecu that lets you alter the drift angle. You can choose 10, 20 or 30 degrees, and that's the cutoff point for the ESP to cut in to save your slide. How awesome is that!
I cannot wait. Oh yeah - there's a LHD one at Rockingham that you can rent and take round the track already. I think I'll wait for mine though!

, also the new M seats with side bolsters that move when you go round corners.
Marvellous, and I bet they will last about 5 minutes before they break (costing a small fortune to repair), and the clock, tell me does it support daylight saving yet.......(before you think I am a BMW hater, I have two, but am totally fed up with their obsession with useless bits of technology that really provide nothing but huge repair bills while overlooking the really important stuff, like the fact that their ing window regualtors are made from chocolate..)

Hah I gave up on daylight savings since my first car, I just remember whether to add an hour or not, it's easy enough. Bolsters will be dodgy I'm sure but at the moment the FQ has recaros - kinda feels like a sardine in a can. It'll be nice to be able to relax when you don't need the lateral support. Can't wait for the heads-up too - it looks so good. If only they could build a road angel into it..

Cheers fq, I got my dad to put his name down for one 4 years ago, turned out we were the first in the country. Been waiting four years for a car is pretty crazy, but now we are on
rlk500,
sidebolsters may be a gimmick in your opinion. But trust me, will enjoy them, particularly setting them to either normal, comfort or sport(thats the speed at which they respond and move) and enjoying seeing how they react to lateral loads from all the high cornering speeds we'll be doing...after break in has been performed of course.
all the best

I believe the limiter in the m5 is "soft" where it allows you to do 165mph or so.
This might be the speedo overreading.

This is because bmw dont want the m5 to be matched a 530d on the autobahn.
Both cars have the same top speed.
While an M5 will be quicker to 155 mph, the 530D won't be visiting the filling station anywhere near as often as the M5.
Now the 535D, that's 6.6 seconds 0-60 *and* 155 mph *and* 34 mpg.
Phew !
