Garlic/foaming/red hot chilli sweets.
'wanna sweet?'
You could buy a bunch of them and hand them out to unsuspecting people throughout the day.
You could do some wonderful things with caps (ie cap gun) too. A roll of them poked through a window, light the end, anyone in the room cowers from the machine gun attack...

Aah, happy days. Last year I bought some of these, at the end of a long night it was great fun giving them to pissed-up mates and watching their faces change as the garlic hit....
I got banned from a school disco for throwing a stink bomb into each of the toilets
My dad then got his revenge by collecting me in his slippers
Remember black hand soap and paper worms that you put in a glass of water to "grow" to look like real worms? Bloody rubbish
I'm addicted to practical jokes, I do them a lot. Nowadays it's a bit more sophisticated and pschyological. Like these:

I smoked fake cigarettes.
I had some of these. If you blew through them, they released an authentic puff of smoke.
I can remember these too.
Me too - you could refill them with talcum powder. Plus they had a bit of orangey red foil at the end, for a proper 'lit' effect

Well, being a student, you can imagine we've had a bit of a crash-course in practical jokes and there have been some crackers over the years. Best ones were:
-ringing up other students at random late at night with the phone attached to a Stephen Hawking voice synthesiser.
-nicking a huge fence fron a building site (the sort you usually find supported by big concrete lugs) and laying it across 3 front doors on the terraced halls of residence houses.
-Oxo cube in the shower head, cling film over the toilet seat & take the bulb out, shoes in the tumble dryer etc - usual house pranks.
-Best one, though, was when the karting club met each other in London for a race the next day in Kent. We'd already got all but one of us there and we were waiting for the last one. He was supposed to turn up at King's Cross, but when he arrived, we told him we were at Euston. We said we'd give him directions over the phone.
Truth was, we were in King's Cross with a videocamera. We followed him with it, directing him around London's landmarks and taking photos of his confused look standing in various London locations. We eventually directed him to Euston where we met him. He hadn't a clue.
The video later appeared on the club website

I did the Bathroom Cam one a few years ago. Hilarious! Strangely the victim hasn't been back to my house since

The whole High Street is full of 'em these days. If it wasn't so painful, the whole idea of shopping would be a joke.
