Hi Guys,

I am now bored with my current car, its a 2000 M5. Like anything you have it gets normal and boring after a while (except for the missus of course). It has to go and make space for the new wheels.

Where can you go from an M5?, I need something driveable every day with speed and reliabilty.

The autobahns in Germany are filled with BMW's so something different would be nice.

Any ideas?

Deester...

In a aussie magazine, they tested one head to head with the top of the line 300kw HSV.
And the Jag came out on top, and this was in an Australian mag!!!!!!!

Buy a Toyota Supra for £10k then bung the top notch, dogz conkers, 1050hp engine kit in it!

Leave bodywork as standard = looks sedate, goes like pig s**t off a shiny shovel!

Brabus could be a good option... as with the Jag.. although perhaps wait for the new XJR?

I assume you don't fancy a Skyline / Imprezza / Evo...?

Audi RS4, RS6... or S8?

Something different? A maser?

Porsche Cayenne Turbo?

Depending on wedge? - Bentley? or REALLY different a Bristol?

Cerbera? Certainly not boring.

Probably only an issue if you have to travel significant distances every day, but even ear plugs can fix that.

Errr, I wouldn't if I were you. Unless spending 7k GBP in maintenance over two years appeals. Or you appreciate misfires as a characteristic of your engine.

Oh yes, and it did handle like a hound (although not too bad if you considered the weight), and had a rubbish gear change. Tope end urge was good though

Here she is :-

Traded in my M5 against this nice example of a 355.

Took an amazing amount of persuasion to get the missus to agree. But as soon as she had a go in the car. Buy buy buy!!!

I pick the car up in 2 days and its off to the ring on Sunday to test her out! If I can get the time off work I will be bringing it to the black tie and pie.

Hope it fits in my garage...
