I will be in Belize for a couple of weeks for the job. Any PHers going to be in that area soon?

No but I have been and can recommend a few nice watering holes!

If you are going out to the keys I highly recommend the "Purple Parrot" on Ambergris Key along with "Big Daddy's".

The Barrier Reef hotel is also noteworthy and do a fantastic club sandwich with the biggest prawns you ever did see!

Steer clear of "Rowls Rose Garden" on the main road from the Int airport to BC, however

I have visited Belize for 10 years now. Ambegris Caye is always great. I stay at a hotel (Royal Palm) owned by an ex-Brit soldier who remained when his stint was up. He is a hotel owner and part-time Belize Government employee (reluctant, and sort of drafted).
