I think I'm about to enter my darkest period of motoring history ever. Having sold my 911 and squirreled the money away I now find out my mother-in-law has (very kindly) given us her 1993 white K-reg Nissan Micra 1.0 special edition.

This is quite a change in motoring standards.

Happened to anyone else?

I've slowly descended the automotive ladder...

Griff 500 ->

Subaru Impreza Turbo ->

Rover 620 automatic (wifeymobile)

However there is light at the end of the tunnel, 'cos I'm lining up a Cerbie for next year (mortgage permitting).

There are worse cars, and at least Datsuns (God I love calling them that, it so winds people up!) are reliable. Got (pick-up, not a Micra though) one myself for the day to day stuff.

yes, from a 427 cobra to an MR2. oh wait, that was just during the course of waking up this morning.

bad luck tho - nothing worse than a boggo blandmobile to kill the driving instinct.

At least you'll have fun just trying to keep up with the rest of the traffic....

I'm sure I heard a story about James Hunt driving an Austin A30/35/40 during the week just for this reason.

Mark Adams tuned and chipped Chimaera 500 to Clio 1.4.

Worrying thing is, I seem to be getting used to it.
Keep the revs piled on to combat the lack of grunt and drive it like a bus to solve the awful understeer.

Help, I need a TVR!!
