Visiting Toronto, Canada, what to do?

Hello fellow PH'ers,

I am flying to Toronto on 29th October for 12 days because work. My first time in Canada, and I find myself on the weekend of the 2nd/3rd November in Toronto with nothing to do other than enjoy the sites/sounds of this fair city.

So, what events/sites/must do's should a PH'er do in Toronto?

I've looked at hiring some classic US muscle car to go site seeing, but haven't found anything yet.

Any guidance or advice much appreciated.

Depends on the weather , deffo do the CN tower for lunch in the revolving restaurant , Niagara Falls is tacky but worth the trip if you can tie it into the vineyards at Niagara on the Lake , great little town . Could try a sporting event , football will be done but a Maple Leafs game will be good for a newbie , they're playing well at the moment (for a change lol ) . Wouldn't bother hiring a car if you stay in the city though .
Couple of regulars on here live there , hopefully they'll be along shortly with more local hints and tips . Bring a toque

Was looking at car hire to do Niagara falls/vinyards, just fancied some old V8 muscle car rather than some generic box.

Is there much to do in the city, aside from the CN Tower?

Is there anything for the petrolhead to go see/do?

Niagara by the lake is beautiful. Good dining downtown. If you are single the lap dancing clubs are excellent so I am told. Niagara Falls obviously and Hockey but tickets are expensive for a losing team.
The issue you face is summer ended in Canada weeks ago regarding car shows etc and they are now getting ready for winter. All the decent stuff is locked away until May. Be prepared for a wet and cool week ahead. Grey skies beckon.

There is a car museum but it is more about antique cars than post 60's stuff.

Thanks for that. I’ll be back next year in the summer months so will seek out more motor related stuff to do then.

Going to see how my time goes this trip and make it up as I go along.

I’m staying downtown so should have plenty of nightlife to keep me occupied.
