Can't get heads switched over in UK. What will it cost in France?
Do 20 year old cars in perfect condition with full Service history and low mileage get through MOTS in France?
I understand there is no Road Tax. Correct?
Is insurance high on old cars?
When will it become classic? Is there any benefit? Any draw backs?
I suppose I get the Heads switched over, get an MOT then buy French Number Plates. Correct?
If we get a two year transition perios after Brexit I supose I do not need to change my driving licence. Correct?
Ditto Driving test?
All advice gratefully received

Hi, my parents imported a car from UK to france when we lived there a long time ago, it was a bit of a pain & wouldn't recommend it unless you really liked your current car.
Yes you would need to change the headlights over

some useful links to other articles in there too.
The simpliest thing would be to buy a car out there - however the second hand market over there has always been pretty strong price wise.
Buy something French if you do - at least they should be able to fix it
