I find the fuel gauge on the 4C quite challenging. It goes from 1/2 to 1/4 pretty quickly, from 1/4 to red really quickly, and then from red to apparently totally empty within about 3 miles.

Obviously the answer is to fill up once it gets to somewhere between 1/2 and 1/4, but that isn't always convenient.

Does anyone have any experience of how much range is left once there is nothing left of the red bit?

I use the range left on the menu which I find reduces panic, if it’s getting low and it’s gettimg a bit panicky use all weather mode as well

The fuel light in the 4C is atrocious. I joined the M25 just as it turned red. By the next junction (8 miles) apparently all my fuel had disappeared!

It’s a 40litre tank so I guess the next time you fill up when it’s just hit no fuel should give you the answer.

You can generally work on a tank being about 300miles.

Fill her up and on a 70mph mway run, your gauge may indicate 350. The reality is about 300.

When your last bar goes red, you have about 20miles(ish) in reality. Empty her gauge, i.e. last bar goes flat and you have about 3ltrs left.
