Hello Hello,
Just starting a little build thread of my latest project car.
1993 mazda RX7, Fitting a Honda K20a2 from a civic type r.... oh and a turbo.
Fitted up to the origonal FD gearbox.
Reasons:
more torque
same revs
full engine is £400
Easy power
Better mpg
Lighter
More reliable
Melted 4 rotary engines last year on track.

Cheers

Cheers for the positive comments guys, i can assure you. in other places they were not so kind haha.
Power goals this year are limited to 400-450 as its the standard engine, next year ill fire some pistons and rods in and look for 6-700.
As said the car is very light and a well balanced car to start off with so i thought why not. I love fabricating and building cars, engines, mapping all sorts.
Bloody expensive hobby though.
Will keep you updated as i go. Making inlet manifold next when im not on daddy duty's.

Hi Guys,
Little update. Been super busy with work, life, Little ones etc but got some more bits done.
Built inlet manifold out of some scrap alloy, Built exhaust turbo manifold and some geometry stuff for the steering rack.
The rack will sit around 20mm higher than stock but this will combat the bumpsteer a bit better as the car is quite a bit lower than it came out the factory.
Most of my build is covered on my dodgey youtube channel (BeyTek) But only updating monthly really. Im sure you guys all know what its like to be busy
Anyway here are some pictures. If you want to see how i made them in a little more detail check out the channel

Thanks

EXhaust manifold fabrication.
WARNING! Im not a welder of any shape or form. I dont do how to's etc, I know its not the best but it will do.

OHHH And Obvioulsy that threaded rod isnt staying there. That was just to hold the collector in that position sort of like a dodgey jig.
Worked a treat.

Next update will be for Clutch.
CG Motorsport are dealing with it. pretty simple. measure up the sizes i have with adaptor plate and gearbox. tekk them the splines i need and they make up my twinplate.
Im also going to use a concentric slave cylinder to make things a little more complicated, well its actually more to do with the RX7 gearbox has a pull type clutch and im wanting push type for future proofing.
Ill see if i can borrow somones lathe to make a peice to centralize the Input shaft of the gearbox and crank of the engine. Ill make a little brass bush up to act as a pilot bearing to keep things true. I dont fancy a flywheel or clutch come frlying through the car!
Cheers for now
