Thefts in Hertfordshire/Essex
Discussion
There is a gang of car theives working around these areas targeting performance cars.
They are breaking into houses, taking keys and lifting the motors off the driveways.
I know this happens quite a lot, but 10 cars have gone from the Bishops Stortford/Saffron Walden area since Sunday eve.
If anyone sees a cheap M5, M3 or Porsche 996 turbo for sale, can you let me or the Herfordshire Plod know.
More likely they are on their way to the Middle East.Asia by now...

They must surely be numpties if they are lifting the cars off people's drives rather than driving them having gone to the trouble of stealing the keys...
or is this "plod-talk"?
Tango, Oscar, Foxtrot, Foxtrot, Echo, Romeo...
"Night All" Roger and out!
PS If plod spent less time today sitting on the M11 catching motorists with the two laser activated cameras located on the first bridge Northbound after J10 and more time chasing villains perhaps the good folk of Saffron Walden may be able to keep their cars longer?

Sorry to hear about the cat dennis, not much you can do about the dog really as u rescued it i dont know weather u knew what so of history or upbringing it had had,so it was a bit of a risk anyhow but not what u expect i know after saving it from the bullet.

The dog (fudge) was kept in a kennel with another load of spaniels and obviously had to fight for food ive had her just over a year and she has been very well behaved but after this i just dont know what to do with her , the cat was the same it was going to be drowned but i saved that too , im a bit of a sucker when it comes to things like that , i had a cat previous to this one which i saved but it got run over by some tw@t racing up the road , as for my brothers bike (speedfight) sombody tried bypassing the immobiliser couldnt do it so smashed it up , I just hope for the people responsible i dont catch them cos i will do somthing very nasty
quote:Dunno what to say...apart from the fact that you obviously care immensely for all your pets, and you no doubt gave the little kitten a much better life thatn it was about to get by drowning. Terrible that this had to happen, but you did the right thing when you rescued it. Don't let that put you off rescuing more animals...I wish I had the courage to do that...very worthy.
Sorry for posting this people but im a bit beered up and emotinal
But...I would speak to your vet about the dogs behaviour, and try to determine the likelihood of it happening again, and then decide if you want to do something about it. Regards, Steve
PS Apologies for changing the thread from the thieves topic.
Cheers steve if i ever meet you i will buy you a pint i just hate to see animals suffering (ps i dont hug trees ) i will see the vet tomorrow about the dog , ive sat here thinking and i dont think fudge could help it she has been mistreated in the past her and the kitten must have been playing and it got a bit rough and just like a human has seen red mist and done what is natural , i just feel very numb about the whole situation , Most things i can laugh off but this is vey different , i feel angry with fudge but i cant hit her for what she has done.
ont worry if another cat etc needs saving i will save it , Im a bit of a sucker for animals in distress

RE: What do do with the dog
Now I know this sounds a little mumbo-jumbo, but been down this road before. My mum had a dog that used to attack people - But only rarely. Not acceptible but decided to take professional help on this as we really didnt want to put down a healthy dog.... not fair really.
Anyway, long story short - had the nuts chopped and sent him to a dog physcologist (sp?). Vet and kennels were happy with progress and then let him be re-housed in a new home. As far as I know it is all going well and no problems. Ok, so some of the costs were high (like hundreds here), but some were covered under the pet insurance policy the dog had.
Worth a punt if you want to - RSPCA or a decent vet / kennel will recommend next course of action. If all else fails then do contact someone like a dog rescue centre - they can recommend a course of action too...
Cheers and good luck,
Paul

I don't know what I'd do if something happened to one of my cats..
