Came back to airport from business trip only to find that the woman in the Merc in front had reversed into the front of my car. It has a split in the front clam and this extends through the aperture where the grille is, so about 5 inches. Should i push her insurer to replace the front clam as it is a "specialist" car and i feel that i should not have the potential loss of someone finding the repair and mocking my "never pranged" line if i was selling it??
Get them to replace the CLam. I had the exact same thing happen to me, except the sod that did it, didnt hang around or leave a contact name/number.
It aint cheap, even the repair is costly. Get the whole thing replaced and make them cough up the cash. Gat it done by a Lotus specialist at the very least, or a Lotus main dealer. Dont let her insurer insist on one of their preferred garages.
