I have an ‘06 R32 that has began to stall at traffic lights. Battery light comes on and the car has an uneven rev. Car only just got a new battery

DSG now jerks from a standstill as well, but once it’s moving its very smooth and the revs even out, but once it stops, it dies.

What is it?

I would say, as I did on your other thread that it's an engine issue if it's stalling and has a lumpy idle.

The very sensitive throttle pedal can make the DSG R32 jerky when moving off until you get used to it. It's combined by the fact that it is a large pedal that pivots from the floor. Obviously if the engine is lumpy at idle, it will make it even worse.

Nowt to lose but £5 of carb cleaner and an hour of effort.

I'd be going straight back to the garage where it was serviced 3 days ago.
