Congratulations to Labour and all the PH socialists ! Brilliant, brilliant news that Labour get in for a third term. Tony Blair receiving a strong slap-on-wrist from electorate over war, but UK rejects Conservatism in favour, once again, of Socialism.
I am euphoric. Let's see some radical socialism now, Tony.

does he think he is? A bloody Socialist?Although after much soul searching and deliberation I did eventually vote Labour yesterday, and I was undecided right up until I got to the booth, I am not feeling remotely triumphalist this morning.
I voted Labour simply becase I had even less faith in any alternative. My memories of the last Conservative Govt are too strong and too fresh for me to have had any confidence at all in their ability to keep the country on a relatively even keel. The LibDems are a bad joke IMHO.
Throughout this campaign the Conservatves did nothing to reasure me that they would not be an even greater disaster than tey were before.
In the end, sadly, it was simply a case of better the devil you know.

The sad fact is that Labour didn't win the election, the tories lost it.
We already have one Labour voter on here admitting as much.
I was sick to my stomach last night listening to Labour harpies bleating about historic third terms. Not one single admission that they are unpopular even with their own, despite hoardes of voters jumping ship.
Expect much more immigration to further bolster the Labour vote for next time. Not to mention further boundary changes to rig the vote further.
While I was never comfortable with the image of red braces being a symbol of the Thatcher era, I am even less happy about the symbol of Blairs era - the Chav.
We already have one Labour voter on here admitting as much.

We put with it the same way we have put up with fuel at £4 a gallon, and allow chavs to rule the streets and TV, we used to be a nations of lions, we're now a nation of directionless sheep with no real opinions of our own, except what we see in the papers and TV, we deserve all we're gonna get!

No my dear fiend, not sarcasm. Aren't car enthusiasts allowed to have a social conscience ? Despite the high profile of the right-wing on PH, there are many less vociferous members with left wing views who desire a more equitabe society and who dread a return to the devastation caused in the past by the conservatives.

Our incumbent Labour MP was deselected for not agreeing with her local party, and replaced with a twice convicted sex offender (a la George Michael). The replacement lost Labour's 5000-odd majority and we're now a knife-edge marginal Tory seat

I tyhink you'll find that the majority of us 'right wing' (!!!) P/Hers have a 'social concience', we just dont want our 'concience' dictated to us, but rather make our own choices, and you talk of devestation, the UKs manufacturing industry is devestated beyond repair, whilst the chav population grows, less people at work, but paying more in taxes to keep the loats, if that's your blinkered idea of socialism, you can keep it!

I'm all for an equitable society but it has to be one that you all have to put into to get out of.
Gutted that this lying, authoritarian, power triping, stealth taxing government has got in again.
