Does the motor run continuously? I know that heat is controlled via the valve, and has an 'off' position, but what about the blower motor itself?

As far as I can see, it's not switched, so runs continuously via the ignition. Could I control it with a switch, and just leave the valve open all the time?

TIA

No the fan motor doesn't run continuously, it relies on the switch.

Oh, ok thanks. I can't see a switch in the exploded drawings. I take it the switch is seperare to the "Off/Warm/Hot" rotary knob?

I haven't. I have a heater in another application. It's always hot and, as well as installing a heater valve, I want to switch the fan off, but I didn't know if it was designed to fun constantly or not.

Now I do smile
