As I'm sure you know, Google presents results that are appropriate to your locality, based on your actual location (IP address). Whilst this is great for the person doing the search, it makes it hard to see how your website performs when searched from another city.

Are any PHers in Sydney and/or Melbourne able to run a few searches for me?

Search terms are:
road rail vehicles
hi-rail vehicles
hyrail vehicles
hy-rail excavator
road rail excavator

Please let me know how far down the results ariesrail.com.au appears and who's above us (if you want to be really helpful a screenshot would be nice)

Just remember google works in mysterious ways, and it is possible that because people had just read a thread mentioning the web address it appears further up the list when they then search for it.

Our Marketing bods periodically run a session where they explain this stuff, and it is really very clever / frightening.

Unless of course people read the thread on one device then searched on another, that wasn't connected to the same wifi network.
