Anyone got strong views on this? Have visited City Walk recently and was pleasantly surprised. Was thinking a 1-bed flat to rent out to a DIFC worker.

What’s the expected return on such a property? What are the occupancy levels of current developments both in City Walk and surrounding areas? Do you expect demand for such property to exceed supply or vice versa? What are the service charges?

I don’t know the answer to any of the above but suspect that my view would not change even if I did ... no investment in Dubai apartments for me.

Mate I wanted views - and information - not an interrogation.

I am with Jerry, Dubai is building low cost and mid cost every where, who will now fill these places? Property is on the way down here, as above just don't do it!

Favourable tax and yeild but the risk is value reduction and inability to sell later to exit.. Very pro tenant too. On balance it would be a no from me..

I can almost see the value in buying one to live in (Been here 12 years and haven't however) but never had the appetite for the risk of buy to let here.

Too many unknowns for my liking, wife works in mortgages and is flat out, so people definitely are.

If you get it right the results can be spectacular, those days have passed though.
