....hairdressers etc. If you`re a plumber they`ll apparently "fly you over on the next plane" due to severe shortages!

How long does it take to become a plumber?!

They need teachers too!. That place looked gorgeous and only £100k for a 3 bed house near the sea. Bargain!

Are they?? The South African couple who live over the road to me have had to stump up £50k to invest in the Oz state market simply because they were 5 points short of the new requirements introduced recently.

Under the old scheme they would have easily passed.

They get the cash back after a certain amount of time (IIRC 18 months) but they've had to change their plans somewhat to accommodate this late revision to the immigration rules.

Funny. My very nice neighbour, an Iranian doctor has lived and worked here for 5 years. Guess what he's doing tomorrow?

"Emigrating" to Australia.

Even the immigrants are emigrating FFS!!

And why not I supose, lets face it they have demonstrated their lack of any national loyalty already.

I've got my eye on an IT position in Oz, which might get closer inspection later tonight, depending on how many Chavs bother to turn out at the polls.
