My CV8 is up for its first service - has anyone here had a 1st service yet? Howe much should it be and what exactly do they do?

Most of the service ops are in the service book. Oil and filter mainly i think, general checks on brakes and fluids etc. Cost will depend on oil specified, time taken should be about 1.2hrs?!?

No there is a question!!!

Have just changed all mine to redline racing oils, engine, gearbox and diff. Noticible difference. As long as a good quality ie Mobil 1 or alike u ok. As to viscosity i went for 5w-30. This has been threaded to death on here, down to personal choice and recommendation.

picador used Mobil 1 0W40 on mine; I believe 10W40 is specified (there was another thread on this some months ago but I can't find it). Not sure what difference that will have made other than perhaps price.

Total service including oil was just under £200 IIRC.

Edited to add the other thread which I've just located the hard way (Ted - when is search going to be working again?):
