Classic car event in Europe this weekend

I'm taking my car to a classic car event in the Alps this weekend. There will be some non competitive driving events on public roads. Do I need to inform my insurance company? Rallies and competitions are not allowed on my policy.

Is it a time trial? if its what i think it is the write up suggests it's competitive (even if friendly) i wouldn't trust an insurance company to pay out in the event of an accident. Have a great time: looks awesome!

it might be worth contacting the organisers and asking them if there are any specialist insurers that might cover you for the event.
