I've had a wee look around for a used Eriba, and as has been mentioned on here before, they seem expensive. I've heard that some UK dealers buy used ones in mainland Europe, then add on up to £4,000 when they sell them. However, even private sellers seem to be asking top prices. Within a 200 mile radius of me, there's an old (1988) one advertised for £4750, and a nice 2012 320 GT for almost £15,000. The used ones are often a bit grotty looking, but it doesn't seem to affect the asking price.

What was the list/dealer price of a 320GT back in 2012?

I suspect that people are looking at the current price of an Eriba and just taking a wee bit off that, rather than basing their asking price on the original new price less depreciation. Does this sound like it might be the case?

Thanks. I was thinking that it might be better to wait until after the summer, but hadn't realised the good weather would affect prices that much!

There are some aspects of the Eriba I find appealing, and I'd be tempted if I could pick up a really nice one for a reasonable price. However, they also have limitations compared to other caravans, which makes them seem expensive. I suppose I'll need to weigh up the pros and cons, and try to work out which, if any, caravan would best suit me.

I bought a puck in 2010 and could sell it now for what I paid. Incredible.

To be honest, it's one of the reasons why we bought one.

That it also happens to be an awesome little caravan helps, obviously, but it's nice to know that if we chose to sell we wouldn't take too much of a bath.

It’s not just the Eriba caravans it’s seeming to effect all of them.

We’ve just paid £5500 for a mid-90’s Triton from Kool Classics. Nice people to deal with there, Claire and Pete.

Absolutely fantastic condition, it replaces one we bought in haste privately, which on first use showed up some serious (beyond economical repair) rot in the outer chassis rails. One of life’s harsh lessons but I almost pegged it last year so in the spirit of the best man maths I’ve just written that off and started again, just happy to be here to enjoy it with my wife and toddler. We’re away in it this weekend, can’t wait!
